Using the site
The crossword maker is free to use, for personal, classroom, event or any other lawful purpose, and you do not need an account. You may print as many copies of your puzzles as you like.
The site is provided as it is. We work to keep it available and correct, but we cannot promise that it will always be online or free of errors, so check your puzzle and its answer key before you print a large batch.
Your puzzles are yours
The words, clues and titles you write belong to you, and so do the puzzles you make with them. We claim no ownership of them. You are responsible for what you put into a puzzle, including making sure that you have the right to use any text you copy from elsewhere.
Content rules
These rules apply to everything you make with this site and to any content you publish or hand out with it. Do not use it for content that is illegal; that harasses, threatens or bullies anyone; that promotes hatred or violence against people for who they are; that is sexually explicit; or that sexualises or endangers children.
Do not include other people's private information, such as home addresses, phone numbers or details about their health, without their permission. Do not use puzzles to advertise, to spread spam or to lead people to other websites: titles, words and clues may not contain web addresses or links. Do not copy someone else's puzzles or other protected work without permission.
Reporting content and asking for removal
If you come across content made with this site that breaks these rules, or that uses your name, your personal information or your work without permission, report it to us by email at the address on the contact page. Tell us where you found it and what is wrong, and include a link or a copy if you have one.
We read every report and reply as soon as we can. Content that breaks these rules is removed from anywhere we host it. Puzzles that exist only on paper or as files on someone's own device are beyond our reach; for those, please contact the person who made them.
